You don’t need to carry your luggage during the camel ride. Your main luggage will be transported safely to the desert camp by a 4×4 vehicle provided by the desert camp, so you only need to bring a small backpack with your personal essentials. By the time you arrive, your luggage will already be waiting for you in your private tent.
No. There are no banks or ATMs in the Sahara Desert. We recommend exchanging or withdrawing enough cash before arriving in Merzouga. If needed, simply ask your driver to stop at a bank or ATM in one of the towns along the route before reaching the desert. This will ensure you have everything you need during your stay.
