Itinerary

Day 1Marrakech – El Jadida

Your 5 Day Morocco Heritage Tour from Marrakech to Tangier begins with a pick-up from Marrakech. Head towards El Jadida, a coastal city founded by the Portuguese in the early 16th century. Upon arrival, explore the Portuguese City, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004, and visit the impressive Portuguese Cistern, built in 1514. Continue through the historic ramparts, enjoy views of the Atlantic Ocean, and stroll around the old harbor. Day 2El Jadida – Casablanca – Rabat

Leave El Jadida behind and continue north along Morocco’s Atlantic coast towards Casablanca, the country’s economic capital. Upon arrival, visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, completed in 1993 under the reign of King Hassan II and home to one of the world’s tallest minarets. Next, explore the Corniche waterfront and the charming Habous Quarter, built in the 1920s during the French Protectorate. Day 3Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes

Next, continue to Meknes, founded in the 11th century by the Almoravids and later transformed into an imperial capital by Sultan Moulay Ismail in 1672. Visit Lahdim Square, Hri Souani granaries, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif. Afterwards, explore the ancient Roman city of Volubilis, dating back to the 3rd century BC, before continuing to Fes for an overnight stay at Palais Houyam or similar.

Day 4Fes – Chefchaouen

This morning, enjoy a guided tour of Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital. Visit Al Quaraouiyine University, founded in 859 by Fatima al-Fihri, the Bou Inania Madrasa, built between 1351 and 1358 by Sultan Abu Inan Faris, the Royal Palace gates, the Jewish Quarter, the famous tanneries, and a traditional pottery workshop. Afterwards, head north through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, the Blue City founded in 1471 by Moulay Ali Ben Rachid. Upon arrival, enjoy free time to explore its picturesque blue-painted streets before an overnight stay at Vancii Hotel or similar.

Day 5Chefchaouen – Tangier

Enjoy a final stroll through the blue streets of Chefchaouen before heading north towards Tangier, Morocco’s gateway to Europe.
