Day 1Fes - Ifran - Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, departure is at 08:00 AM as we begin our journey 3- Day Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga desert. After about one hour and a half driving from Fes, we reach Ifrane, often called the Switzerland of Morocco. Here we stop for 30 minutes to stretch our legs, use the facilities, and admire the unique architecture.

We then continue to Midelt, known as the apple capital of Morocco. The road takes us further to Er-rich, a small town between the desert and the Anti-Atlas Mountains, where we stop for a delicious lunch with local people. Afterward, we drive to Errachidia, one of the largest cities in the region, and enjoy a panoramic view over the Ziz Valley, the longest palm grove in Morocco with millions of date palms.

From here, we pass through Arfoud and continue until we arrive in Merzouga. You will be welcomed with a cup of mint tea before starting your camel ride into the dunes. At sunset, you reach your luxury desert camp where you spend the night in a private tent under the stars.

Day 2Merzouga - Toudra gorge - Dades Valley

Our 3- Day Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga desert continues with an early wake up to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, you return by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga, where your driver is waiting. The journey takes you first to Rissani, an old trading town famous for its traditional souk and as the birthplace of Morocco’s royal dynasty.Here, you can see the local life and learn about its history, and taste one of the best dates in the area, the famous Majhoul variety

From Rissani, we pass through Erfoud, known as the gateway to the desert and famous for its fossils. The road continues to Tinjdad, where we stop for tea or coffee and use the facilities. Then, we drive to the Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon with high cliffs and a clear river. You will have time to walk along the river and take photos. This area is famous for its rose fields and local products. We stop at a women’s cooperative to learn more about how these products are made.

The trip then takes us to Skoura, where we visit the Amridil Kasbah, one of the best-preserved kasbahs in Morocco and a fine example of Berber architecture. From here, we continue to Ouarzazate, also known as the Hollywood of Morocco, where we stop at the Atlas Cinema Studios to learn about international filming in Ouarzazate.

Next, we drive to the village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We visit the famous kasbah and have lunch in one of the best restaurants in the village. After lunch, we cross the High Atlas Mountains and reach the Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2,226 meters. We stop here to enjoy the panoramic views before continuing to Marrakech, where the tour ends. We drop you off at your riad or hotel, or at the nearest accessible point to your accommodation.
