Ourika Valley Private Tour

Ourika Valley Private Tour starts with a peaceful drive towards the High Atlas Mountains. After about one hour of driving, we make our first stop at Anima Garden, a beautiful and artistic place full of colors and nature. The garden was created by the Austrian artist André Heller and is known for its creative sculptures, flowers, and calm atmosphere. It’s a great place to walk, take photos, and enjoy the fresh mountain air before continuing our trip through the Atlas Mountains.

We then continue our journey to a small café beside the river in the center of Ourika Valley. Here we stop to drink a local Moroccan mint tea, use the washroom, and stretch our legs while listening to the sound of the flowing water. The calm nature and green surroundings make this stop very relaxing before we continue the adventure higher into the mountains.

After the tea break, we take a detour and drive up to one of the highest points in the Atlas Mountains. From here, you can see all of Marrakech and the valleys below a very unique sight that you will never find in other parts of Morocco. This area is calm, untouched, and home only to local Berber people who still live their traditional life. We stop here to admire the incredible view, take photos, and enjoy a short walk on the flat top of the mountains.

Please note that this tour is not suitable for travelers who have problems with altitude, because we will reach around 3000 meters high. The drive continues through authentic Berber villages where we make several stops for photos and to meet local people. The scenery is full of red clay houses, green terraces, and panoramic mountain views that show the real beauty of Morocco far from the city life.

We finally arrive at one of the most beautiful Berber villages where we are warmly welcomed by a real Berber family. They will prepare and serve a delicious homemade Moroccan lunch made from fresh local ingredients. The family’s house is located in the heart of the authentic village with panoramic views over the Atlas Mountains. Here you can talk, relax, and share a friendly moment with them  they are kind, generous, and love to welcome visitors to their home.

return to marrakech
After lunch, we take a short walk to explore the area by foot and meet other local people in the village. You will see how Berber families live simply and happily surrounded by nature. Later, we drive back slowly to Marrakech, enjoying the peaceful mountain scenery along the way. This marks the end of the Ourika Valley Private Tour, and you will be dropped off comfortably at your accommodation with beautiful memories of real Berber life and untouched landscapes.
