Day 1Marrakech to Dades Valley via Aït Ben Haddou & Rose Valley

Marrakech to Merzouga 4-Day Private Sahara Desert Tour starts with a beautiful drive from Marrakech to the High Atlas Mountains. After about 1 hour and 30 minutes, we stop at a panoramic viewpoint. Here, you can drink Moroccan mint tea or coffee, have breakfast if you like, and use the restroom before continuing the journey.

After that, we drive through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and stop for a short photo break. Then, we continue to the ancient Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, a famous UNESCO World Heritage site. If we feel hungry, we stop for lunch first in one of the best Moroccan restaurants. Otherwise, we visit the kasbah before having lunch.

Next, we travel to Skoura to visit the historic Kasbah Amridil. Moreover, we drive through the beautiful Rose Valley, where we stop at a local women’s cooperative. There, you can learn how local women make traditional rose water and other natural products.

Later, we continue to the Dades Valley and stop to see the amazing Monkey Fingers rock formations. Finally, we arrive at our luxury riad in Dades, located in a quiet and peaceful area. Dinner and overnight stay are included, so you can rest and prepare for the next day of your Marrakech to Merzouga 4-Day Private Sahara Desert Tour.

Day 2Marrakech to Merzouga 4-Day Sahara Desert Tour – From Dades Valley to Merzouga

After breakfast in your riad in Dades Valley, the Marrakech to Merzouga 4-Day Private Sahara Desert Tour continues toward the dramatic Todra Gorge. This canyon is one of Morocco’s most impressive natural wonders. It has tall cliffs and a lush palm oasis that create an amazing view.

Then, we take time to walk inside the gorge, take photos, and enjoy the calm and peaceful atmosphere. Afterwards, around midday, we stop for lunch in a special 17th-century kasbah. This kasbah once served as a hotel for caravans traveling from Central Africa. Today, it is a traditional restaurant managed by friendly local people.

After lunch, the Marrakech to Merzouga 4-Day Private Sahara Desert Tour continues to Arfoud, where we make a short stop to buy water or other small items. Next, we drive toward the desert town of Merzouga. Consequently, in the late afternoon, we meet our camels and begin a memorable trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes during sunset.

Finally, the evening is spent in a luxury Sahara desert camp. Here, you enjoy dinner, traditional Berber music around the fire, and an unforgettable overnight stay in your private tent under the stars. This marks another beautiful day of your Marrakech to Merzouga 4-Day Private Sahara Desert Tour.

Day 3From Merzouga to Ouarzazate with Rissani & Agdz Stops

After witnessing the sunrise over the golden dunes of Merzouga, we enjoy breakfast at the desert camp. Then, we begin our journey toward Rissani. Here, we stop to visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, the founder of the Alaouite dynasty.

Afterwards, we continue driving toward Anlif. At this stop, we stretch our legs, enjoy drinks, and use the restroom. Next, we head further west. Around midday, we arrive in N’Qoub, a village located about halfway between Merzouga and Ouarzazate. In N’Qoub, we stop to taste authentic Moroccan food in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we drive toward Agdz and make a short pause for restrooms. Soon after, we continue toward Ouarzazate. Eventually, we arrive in the evening. Here, you will spend the night in a luxury riad, combining comfort and authenticity in the gateway city to the Sahara.

Day 4From Ouarzazate to Marrakech through the High Atlas

After breakfast in your riad or hotel in Ouarzazate, we begin the morning with a visit to the famous Atlas Cinema Studios. This site is often called the “Hollywood of Africa.” Many international movies and series have been filmed here.

Afterwards, we continue the journey through the scenic High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we enjoy photo stops at panoramic viewpoints. In addition, we take short breaks to rest or have refreshments. Moreover, these pauses give you extra time to enjoy the mountain landscapes.

By the afternoon, we descend the winding roads of the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Eventually, we arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon or early evening. Finally, you will be dropped off at your hotel or riad. This moment marks the end of your unforgettable Sahara desert tour.
