Essaouira coastal day trip from Marrakech begins with a scenic drive across the Haouz plains, and after about an hour and a half we stop in the town of Chichaoua to stretch, enjoy mint tea or coffee, and use the restroom before continuing the journey. As we move on toward Sidi Mokhtar, travelers may have the chance to see goats climbing the branches of argan trees, and if we spot them we pause for photos, otherwise we continue our way. Then, around 11 AM, we arrive in Ounagha where we visit a women’s cooperative to discover how argan oil is traditionally produced, and afterwards we continue toward the coast. Upon reaching Essaouira, a local guide welcomes us and leads a walking tour through the fishing port, the UNESCO-listed medina, Moulay Hassan Square, and the Skala ramparts with views over the Atlantic. Later, you can stroll along the sandy beach, taste fresh seafood in a seafront restaurant, and relax with the sea breeze before finally returning to Marrakech in the evening around 7:00–7:30 PM.
