The first day of the 3 Day Marrakech to Fes via Merzouga Desert Tour begins with an early departure from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. First, after about an hour and a half of driving, we pause at a panoramic viewpoint where you can enjoy a cup of mint tea or coffee and use the facilities. Then, the road continues through the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains, and along the way there are several stops to capture photos of valleys, landscapes, and traditional Berber villages.

Afterwards, the trip leads us to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site well known for its architecture and for being the backdrop of many films. Here, you will join a guided visit and afterwards enjoy free time for lunch. Later, the journey continues to Skoura, where we stop to explore the historic Amridil Kasbah, one of the most remarkable and best-preserved kasbahs in Morocco.

In addition, the afternoon drive takes us through the Rose Valley, and during this section of the tour we stop at a women’s cooperative to discover the process of rose water distillation and learn more about traditional cosmetic products.

Finally, the day concludes in the Dades Valley. Before reaching your hotel or riad, we make a last stop to admire the unusual rock formations known as the Monkey Fingers. Afterwards, dinner and an overnight stay are provided in the Dades Valley.

Day 2Continuing the Marrakech to Fes via Merzouga Desert Tour: Dades Valley to the Sahara
